Excellent Guide for Health May 30, 2006 Valerie J. (West Yorks, UK) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
I bought this book last week and it's excellent value for money. It has all the information about vitamins and herbs; it gives recommendations as well as warnings; advice about specific ailments, and so much more. I was surprised at the depth of information given. For example, my doctor told me that the herb known as horsetail helped halt osteoporosis when taken along with calcium. He also recommended boron. Nowhere else have I found confirmation of that information but this book mentions both. Unfortunately, you will not find horsetail listed in the index. That is the only complaint I have about the book that, occasionally, just occasionally, something was not listed in the index that was referred to in the text. If you care about your health, I recommend it. It's a no-nonsense book.
Very Helpful Information September 21, 2005 Health Nut (Minneapolis, MN USA) 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
I found this book to be very helpful in guiding my selection of vitamins and supplements that will fit my age and lifestyle. I wish there was more information given about various clinical studies however.
good reference book January 9, 2007 M. Domier (texas) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I would highly recommend this book to anyone , any age. Easy to use and has good information. This is an updated version of the original which I bought many years ago. I have given away 3 copies and now I will buy one more for me-again.
Understanding vitamins July 18, 2007 Marlene M. Gandy 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
It is a Great book. Comprehensive information, but easy to understand by the novice. Easy to find information and recommendations. It is a must text-reference book to have. Use vitamins wisely. Lean about vitamin compatibilities and when to take them. You may be wasting the value of vitamins and your money.
Outstanding Reference September 15, 2007 Ricardo Torres 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is the third time I purchased this book. Twice before, I loaned this book to others only to never see it again. This book is an excellent source for vitamin information.
